Portara is the symbol of Naxos! A walk on the hill of the palaces, right next to the harbor, is required!
From the center of Chora, you go down to the beach and kepp on to the port towards Portara, which is always in front of you!
Kepp walking to Vinci and climb the stairs to reach the top of the hill.
The ideal time to visit it is late afternoon, so you can take a picture of the sunset, the whole Chora from above, the beach and the settlement of Grotta, and Delos in the background, if there is a good visibility.
